Howdy! I'm MILO YIELD!

Howdy! I’m Milo Yield,  Laugh Director of Thought And Laugh Enterprise$, Inc. (TALES). I'm looking forward to "laugh-crafting" an entertainment program for your rural group, regardless of its size or location.

A little background is in order. I've been thoughtfully spreading my brand of clean country humor for more than 25 years from coast to coast, including a few excursions across the border into Manitoba and Ontario, Canada -- and, to paraphrase Will Rogers: "I've yet to meet a countrified man or woman who I didn't like." These days, I'm really enjoying entertaining on a part-time basis that fits my lifestyle and schedule.

I've written a syndicated humor column "Viewing the Field by Milo Yield" and its successor "Laugh Tracks in the Dust" every week since February 5, 1974. I'm a B.S. graduate of Bea Wilder U. and have a special training certificate in agriculture and motivation, which makes me the only "Certified Agrivator" speaking to rural groups today.

It is safe to say that my views from my exceedingly diversified farming enterprise, Damphewmore Acres, are decidedly unorthodox and funny -- a bit backwards, yet with a touch of cutting-edge new technology. I operate my family farm with my wife Nevah Yield, my pappy Czar E. Yield, and my pet dog Scab. My humorous stories mirror my humorous experiences of growing up on a diversified farm, working in agribusiness, and swapping yarns while traveling the back roads and flying the remote airways to entertain rural audiences ranging from national conventions to local 4-H and FFA banquets.

My hobbies and special interests include: Aquaculturist (trying to keep my farm afloat), Jogging and Walking (trying to get in step with the rest of the world), and collecting decrepit and foul farm and ranch hats.

If your group is looking to "hire on" a humorous speaker for its next meeting, banquet, convention or tour, give me a phone call or an e-mail. My speaking fee varies with the size of the audience and how far I have to travel, and how long I have to leave olNevah at home to do the chores by herself. It’s usually somewhere between $400 and $1,000. But, I promise, I'll knock myself out to make sure your group's hard-earned money is well spent!

If you need references, I'll give you the phone numbers of some folks who've hired me before and you can get the scoop from them.

I'm lookin' forward to meeting you down some ol' country road!
